the drama that took Japan by storm last year...

If you have get access to some J-dramas, this is one well-worth watching. It is full of slapstick (sometimes culturally exclusive) jokes and predictable plot yet is addictive.

'Nodame Cantabile' is a drama on classical music based on comics, depicting a girl who has prodigy-like talent for playing the piano...except for the fact that she is unable to read musical scores. He is a pianist whose dream is to become a great conductor. Her character is really wacky and I can without hesitation, say that she is an off-the-wall kind of gal. Most of the acting is good but I just cannot get used to Juri Ueno's new look, likely due to showbiz pressure-induced plastic surgery? Nostrils look different, streamlined thinner nose, lost a load of weight, eyes look more alien-like and large...you decide. See the before pic. Pity, too...now she looks generic like any other actress out there. Boooooo. Most of the other main actors/actresses seem to have alterations done...but I won't get into that. That's showbiz for ya.

Though not endorsing this method, one can download it at drama addicts or fragments at youtube/dailymotion. If you download the raw version of the drama, you also have to download the subtitles from another file-downloading location.
