National safety awareness week in Japan

All throughout Japan, various kinds of demonstrations sponsored by the police were being held. I participated in this one last Friday - one sits in the 'car seat,' straps on the seatbelt and is put through a crash simulation.

I did not think this kind of exhibition would educate people, yet after riding it, I think it really does 'drive' the point home. The impact was pretty jolting so it was flabbergasting to found out it was only going 6km/hour!
