happy news for the day!

AH-HA! There is an equivalent to the all-American fries in Shamrock shakes after all! Here it is ladies and gents...feast your eyes out! Hmm, don't think I would be up for trying it myself, as much as I like fried foods in ice cream and all... Wasabi ice cream was kind gross but SALT ice cream was delish, a definite must-try!

BIZEN, Okayama -- For those with more robust palates, an unusual local specialty is gaining popularity here: A soft ice cream topped with fried oysters.

Called "kaki (oyster) soft," this unlikely taste sensation can be yours for a mere 250 yen at Gomi no Ichi, a shop operated by a fishermen's cooperative in Bizen, Okayama Prefecture.
