This is my favorite Japanese film, "Waterboys" which was purportedly based on a true story. The plot revolves around a group of boys who decide to put on a synchronized swimming show, something at that time unheard of - men doing sync swimming. It was a side-splitter and full of really catchy music! I highly recommend it.

If you liked it you might also like "Swing Girls" which is similar story but involves a group of novice (er...wannabe) female music players who long to form a good swing band.
