BIRTHDAY days

Recently it was my husband's birthday and as usual, I went all out and made a gigantic meal. This time was American-style...buttery baked potato, savory roast beef, garlicky green beans, cream of broccoli soup, all topped off with a chocolate crust chestnut-flavored cheesecake! It took a long time to make but it in itself is part of his birthday present. I shall post a pic one day...

Last year I made steak, which cost a fortune to buy. This year roast beef also cost a fortune! Japanese beef is some of the tastiest (not to mention priciest) stuff on Earth. If you have never tried it, you should definitely put it on your 'must do' or 'must eat' list.
