God has blessed us

Though some western cultures believe rain is an ill omen, according to Hindu beliefs, rain on your wedding day is good luck! My sister Jinny told me according to Korean superstitition, if your wedding day is a rainy one, God has blessed your big day!

In our case, it was sunny, then sporadically cloudy and sunny, and just as the ceremony came to a close, light rain came drizzling down.

Some Japanese taboos: saying something like 'end' or 'finish' at a wedding ceremony/reception...or giving knives as a wedding present. A Chinese taboo: giving somone a clock as a present (in Chinese 'sending a clock' sounds similar to 'death')
