yellow lighting

Most Japanese homes are lit up with bright as bleach fluorescent lights. It seems that most Japanese people prefer the true white that's emitted over regular incandescent lights which give off a yellowish-orange colour. I prefer soft yellow lighting which makes food look more appealing...which means, even when I bomb some dish, it still looks half-decent and presentable!

I also like eating by candlelight, something not commonly done here. It makes me feel cozy and at home! Why don't you pretend that a power outage has hit the area and light up some candles for dinner one day?!
