The interface for my blog website (using an internet cafe right now) is in Japanese. I suppose I should have done that long ago - forced immersion into any language seems to be the surefire quickest way to learn it! The irony of Japan: it is cheaper to use an internet cafe (and receive unlimited free drinks) than go to a regular cafe for coffee. At the moment I am sipping a cup of corn soup, dispensed from the automated drink bar. (In Japan they even serve hot corn soup from vending machines...goes to show how much they love their corn?!) When I first came to Japan, much to the demise of my trim waist, the closest internet cafe provided free soft serve ice cream...oh, yummy!
