plum blossom season...

Isn't this the most beautiful sight? Now is prime time for plum blossom trees, trees which bloom earlier than their counterparts, the cherry blossom. I find plum blossoms very elegant and more fragrant than the beloved cherry blossoms. Mito's Kairakuen park is filled with these trees and people enjoy a picnic on the grounds. (this pic is not Kairakuen...I do not know where it is, in fact...but found the picture on Mainichi News and could not resist posting it)
