Waff-what?
Not wanting to clutter my kitchen up more than it is (and boy, is it crowded and cluttered up!!!!!!!!), I decided to forgo buying a new kitchen gadget (a waffle maker) and instead use what I already had. I used my hot sandwich maker to churn out some waffles and boy, was it impressive! Talk about 2-in-1! We ate strawberry waffles and savoury ham/cheese ones...ummmm, umm, yummy. If you cook the suckers long enough they taste like regular waffles, minus the typical waffle grooves. If you don't cook it too long, the waffle comes out almost like Japanese takoyaki, savoury octopus balls (oh yeah, that sounded good)! Next time I am going to make Japanese taiyaki or quick-fix okonomiyaki with waffle batter and stuff...oohhh, I cannot wait!
