immediate or delayed satisfaction?
I used to be more of a person who satiated my appetite as soon as possible, though this has changed over time. Now I realize the benefits of waiting. Hard to imagine? See the following examples.Reluctant to do at the time but satisfaction afterwards:
- Flossing teeth
- Exercising, a hard routine
- Wait 'til after the hot spring to guzzle down beer or cold tea
- Doing crunches or muscle toning
- Complete face care (esp. when tired at night)
Immediate satisfaction, guilt afterwards:
- Eating way too much
- Sleeping in
- Buying some pricey luxury item
- Having too much coffee or alcohol
