ewwwwwwwwwwww!

I quickly rinsed and steamed some broccoli for breakfast and found a little surprise, later in my serving dish...a bright green worm, ingeniously camouflaged the same color as the broccoli! Ugh, I instinctively crinkled my nose and stopped eating the broccoli.

My student later told me that the bug was likely a good sign, sign of less pesticide use...either that or the little bugger was strong! This brings me back to a birthday party years ago back in the States...I discovered such a worm crawling on raw broccoli on the raw veggie platter. I was startled but it but feared telling the host's mom, worried that others would freak out. To this day, I hope no one ate the worm...oooh **shudders**
