fingerprinting the aliens

I wish Japan would start being a little more PC than it is now. Sure I don't think 100% PC-ness is necessary but calling foreigners aliens? C'mon now...what is wrong with using a phrase as simple as 'non-citizen?'

Anyway Japan will soon be fingerprinting and photographing all of its foreign residents, excluding some permanent residents and so on. This is, in effect, a law enacted to prevent terrorists from having free access to/from Japan and curb criminals from the Koreas or China.

Some people consider it racist and xenophobic. As for me, I don't particularly like this law because I feel like it is an invasion of privacy, however, if it will deter criminals and terrorists from causing problems, I'm all for it. After all, the States already fingerprints and photographs foreigners.
